Quilmes Rock

Sponsored by Quilmes beer, this is the biggest rock event of the year, and a must-attend for anyone who likes rock music. The festival is spread out over various nights, and each one starts in the afternoon and goes until after midnight. Numerous bands perform to over 40,000 people in different stadiums throughout Buenos Aires, in shows that are grouped together by music style.

You can always count on a killer line-up, featuring famous national and international bands. To give you an idea of the talent, bands from the past few years include Korn, Radiohead, Aerosmith, Los Piojos, Attaque 77, and Los Divididos. If you decide to attend two nights, you get a big discount on the ticket, so this is highly recommended.

The Argentines are always a great crowd, as they make a lot of noise and add a lot of “onda” to the show. Be ready to chant until your voice goes horse after the last performance of the night….the Argentines are known for chanting long after the band has performed their last encore.
