Nocturna – Acrobats, Tango, Dancing and a Whole Lot of Fun

Feature, Random Reviews — By DiegoM on March 4, 2010 at 9:55 pm

Tango music, dancers, and acrobats all mixed into one…. seemed like the perfect mix to me. I decided to check it out this weekend, and I was glad I did. The event takes places on the roof of the Centro Cultural Recoleta. There are stands set up in front of the stage area, with a capacity of about 100. This particular night, the crowd was very small, probably less than 30 people, but it made for a very intimate atmosphere.

The show is set-up as a story, with one song setting the scene for one act. The entire show is 8 different acts, all of them a mix of theatre, tango dancing, and acrobatics. Although not as breathtaking as some professional acrobats you may see at a circus, the artistry and theatrical aspect was put together flawlessly, and the show as a whole was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for something different in Buenos Aires that is still very Argentine, go see this show.
