Live Music at El Rosedal Park in Palermo

Entertainment, Feature — By on November 17, 2009 at 3:30 am

Anyone who has ever been to this park knows that it is one of the nicer ones in Buenos Aires.  It is considered part of the “Bosques de Palermo” which is a string of parks along Ave. del Libertador.

If you haven´t been recently, and especially if you have never been, now is the best time to do so.  The Rosedal is a circular garden in the center of the park 3 de Febrero, and is now in full bloom.  You can see dozens of different types of roses, and the colors are dazzling.

On Sundays at 5PM, there is live music inside the Rosedal park, known as “Sonidos en El Rosedal.”  The style changes every week, but is always either classical, jazz, or folklore, and they play for about two hours.  Seats are set-up for those that do not want to stand, and the ambience is pretty much perfect for a hot sunny day to end the week.
