Free Tours of Buenos Aires
Miscellaneous — By DiegoM on November 10, 2009 at 4:39 amIf you are interested in walking tours of Buenos Aires, but don’t want to pay anything, you have two options.
Guided Tours organized by the Government – there is a great selection of tours you can take that are provided for free by the government of Buenos Aires. The variety of tours offered are better than any tour company. For example, you can tour Belgrano, Mataderos, or Barracas….these are not available with other tour companies. The tours are well done, and provide excellent information. However, depending on your tour guide, they can be dull and their English isn’t always very good. But hey, they are free, and offer a perfect opportunity to learn more about Argentina, including its history and its culture.
BA Free Tours – I haven’t been on any of these tours yet, but they offer to free tours in English, one of the city, and an aristocratic tour. They don’t have the same selection that the government offers, but the tours are free, which means they are always worth a try.
