Finca Beltram – Malbec

Wine Reviews — By on April 30, 2010 at 3:19 am

This wine has to open up a bit (about 30min), but once it has done so, it is pretty decent.  Rich red berry, fig, and vanilla flavors lead to a medium finish with hints of leather and coffee.  The tannins are a little astringent, but it is quite decent for a $10 peso wine.  Would be best with steak or some sort of beef stew, but could also go nicely with a dark, bitter chocolate.

Winery: Zuccardi
Wine: Finca Beltan Duo
Region: Maipu, Mendoza
Price: $11
