Don Nicanor Blend 2008

This wine is a classic from Nieto Sentiner.  It is a blend of Malbec, CabSav, and Merlot, and this particular vintage is from 2008.  It was a very impressive wine – medium bodied, complex flavors, well-rounded tanins and a very long, finish.

Nose:  very fruity with a hint of wood.

Palate:  This is a jammy wine, and also has some vanilla and oak with a nice hints of spice on the finish.

Although this wine takes some time to open up, it is a great value, you can’t go wrong with it.
